This Tuesday, October 6th, the Maison des jeunes et des étudiants (MJE) in Digne-les-Bains hosted the first City Contract initiatives Forum. The event was introduced by Xavier Pannecoucke, Secretary General of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence prefecture and sub-prefect of Digne-les-Bains, and Xavier Delcroix, Vice-President of Provence Alpes Agglomération in charge of city policy.
Co-piloted by the State and Provence Alpes Agglomération, the Digne City Contract 2024-2030 mobilizes numerous partners to support associative and institutional actors involved in the Centre-ville – Pigeonnier priority neighborhood. In 2026, 27 actors and 34 actions are financially supported to combat inequalities and improve residents' daily lives.
The initiatives cover various fields such as education, access to rights, employment and integration, culture, leisure and sports, living environment, support for the most vulnerable, and social cohesion and solidarity. These actions contribute throughout the year to the social cohesion of the neighborhood.
This first Forum brought together the various engaged stakeholders, thus fostering exchanges and a better understanding of the initiatives carried out in the neighborhood.
