On Friday, October 30, 2026, the Riviera Française Community will inaugurate the VeRo itinerary in Breil-sur-Roya, a route dedicated to the railway and tourist heritage of the Roya and Vermenagna valleys.

The European project Vermenagna-Roya ALCOTRA III, in which the Riviera Française Community is a partner, aims to enhance shared heritage, develop cross-border tourism, and strengthen ties between France and Italy. The VeRo itinerary connects Borgo San Dalmazzo in Italy to Breil-sur-Roya in France, showcasing the heritage and tourist attractions of both valleys united by their railway history.
The inauguration program in Breil-sur-Roya begins at 3:30 PM with a visit to the "Mémoires croisées" fresco in Piène-Basse, followed at 4:00 PM by the discovery of the immersive Porte de VeRo space on boulevard Rouvier. The ceremony will continue at 4:30 PM at the Écomusée du Train des Merveilles, located at 25 rue Paul Séjourné.
These inauguration ceremonies are open to all. The Riviera Française Community's participation in the ALCOTRA Vermenagna-Roya III European program demonstrates its commitment to cross-border cooperation and the development of tourism in the valleys.
