Cannes is enriching its cultural calendar with the arrival of the Victoires de la Musique Classique. On February 4, 2027, the city's Palais des Festivals et des Congrès will host this national ceremony, which will be broadcast live on France 3 and France Musique. The event will bring together established artists and young talents of French classical music, with the participation of the Orchestre national de Cannes.
« Cannes is more than ever a city of music and events », stated David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes. He emphasized that hosting the Victoires de la Musique Classique reinforces the city's strategy to become a hub for cultural creation and dissemination, alongside other events like MIDEM and the NRJ Music Awards. The municipality plans to involve residents by offering them tickets to attend the ceremony.
This 34th edition is part of the Cannes On Air policy, launched in 2014 by David Lisnard to develop cultural and creative industries in the city. The arrival of the Victoires de la Musique Classique strengthens Cannes' status as a major destination for large-scale national and international festivals and events, promising significant economic and media impact.
