A medical team comprising two doctors and two nurses from the MSP du Férion, including a smoking cessation nurse, along with the team of Professor Marquette from the CHU de Nice, collaborated with technical services and elected officials from the LEVENS Town Hall to ensure a smooth organization of the event.
Over 30 residents from Levens and neighboring villages, selected by the MSP doctors based on their risk factors (age, active or former smoking), received a comprehensive check-up on-site. This included an inclusion consultation, respiratory tests (EFR), blood tests for specific markers, and a smoking cessation consultation. A LOW DOSE screening scan at the CHU de Nice is also planned as part of this program, followed by specific monitoring.
The entire initiative is completely free for participants under the IMPULSION program. This innovative action aims to systematize prevention efforts for earlier cancer detection, thereby increasing chances of recovery.
The Maison de Santé du Férion, fully committed to screenings and prevention, develops numerous actions for patients and residents of the area with the support of the CPTS du Férion and the municipality.
For those who could not participate in this screening held directly in the commune of Levens, the doctors from the Maison de Santé du Férion, in conjunction with the teams of Pr Marquette and the IHU, remain available to continue this screening effort beyond this dedicated day.
