The city of Menton will host the 10th edition of the International Fantastic Film Festival from October 22 to 25. The event introduces an innovative professional voting system for its awards.

From October 22 to 25, Menton will celebrate the 10th edition of the International Fantastic Film Festival. Screenings will be held at L’Odyssée Municipal Library and then at the Palais de l'Europe. For this edition, the festival is implementing a new voting system, entrusting its awards to the collective judgment of accredited film professionals.
"Inspired by the principle of major film academies, this system is based on a conviction: to make the awards an expression of a professional, plural, and independent perspective," explains Fabrice Ceccherini, creator and organizer of the festival. Accredited professionals who have attended the various screenings and viewed all competing works will be invited to join the College of Professionals and participate in the official Festival vote.
Directors, producers, actors, screenwriters, distributors, programmers, and professionals from the film industry will thus confront their sensibilities, experiences, and perspectives on the presented works through their votes. The official awards will be determined in five categories: Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Very Short Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress.
By choosing an expanded college rather than a traditional, restricted jury, the Festival aims to give its distinctions a collective dimension, representative of the diversity of the film world. Every voice counts in celebrating creation, revealing talent, and promoting cinema.
