This morning, at Jardin Binon, Villefranche-sur-Mer celebrated Franco-American friendship with the planting of the Friendship Pecan Tree and the unveiling of its commemorative plaque.
In the presence of Robert Capelier, Mayor of Villefranche-sur-Mer, elected officials from Villefranche, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and Beaulieu, Valérie Blouin, President of the association 'Les Américains et la 6e Flotte', and numerous residents, this ceremony was a beautiful moment of sharing and remembrance.
Like this tree, whose roots anchor deeply in the earth, Franco-American friendship draws its strength from a shared history and continues to grow through generations.
