The 4th edition of the Night of Solidarity will take place on November 5th in Aix-en-Provence, mobilizing 11 teams to meet homeless individuals.

The city of Aix-en-Provence is launching an appeal for volunteers for the 4th edition of the Night of Solidarity, scheduled for Thursday, November 5th. This national operation aims to count homeless people in the area and raise awareness about the issue. Registrations have been open since October 5th on the dedicated platform: www.nuit-solidarite.ccas-aixenprovence.org.
Approximately fifty volunteers, from the CCAS (Social Welfare Center), the City, charitable, humanitarian, sports, student associations, and social and medical structures, are expected. They will gather in the Salle des Etats de Provence in the late afternoon for a collective briefing before heading out.
The action will take place over approximately 4 hours in the evening. Participants are encouraged to bring a hygiene product for the CCAS beneficiaries. Collection points will be available for participants and the public wishing to contribute.
The evening's schedule begins at 6:00 PM with the welcome of team leaders at the Town Hall, followed at 6:30 PM by the welcome of volunteer participants. The official presentation will be at 7:00 PM, marauding departures at 7:30 PM, and return is scheduled for 11:00 PM.
Teams will use an anonymous questionnaire developed by the DIHAL (Interministerial Directorate for Housing and Support for Housing) to survey individuals encountered on the street. Coffee, biscuits, and water bottles will be distributed.
The objective is to locally ascertain the number and profiles of people experiencing homelessness, and to track the evolution compared to previous editions (2022: 47 people surveyed, 2023: 65 people, 2025: 58 people).
