The composition class of Etienne Kippelen at the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud in Aix-en-Provence has established a partnership with the class led by Brigida Migliore at the Conservatory of Salerno. Seven students from both institutions have composed brief pieces, reflecting their musical worlds and their quest for personal style.
These miniatures, approximately 2 to 3 minutes long, will be performed for the first time by an ensemble of four to five musicians, conducted by Guillaume Rabier. This event is part of the biennale celebrating Italy.
As an interlude, solos and duos from the Italian baroque and classical repertoire will be performed by advanced students from the conservatory, punctuating the Franco-Italian encounter and offering a cross-perspective on contemporary creation.
