Rugby champions Valentin Welsch and Liam Delemare, who hail from the Arles club, returned to Arles on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, to lead a training session for the youth rugby school.

Valentin Welsch, European XVs rugby champion with Montpellier, and Liam Delemare, a player for the French Rugby 7s team, revisited their roots at the Rugby Club Arlésien (RCA). They shared their passion with the young players during a training session.
"It's a pleasure to see the children having fun and to see the coaches who trained me again," said Valentin Welsch, whose father still plays for the RCA veterans. Sibylle Laugier, the local sports representative, expressed her pride in seeing Arles natives reach the top level and return to their formative club.
Before an exchange of jerseys, the two athletes signed autographs, much to the enthusiasm of the young players. Baptiste and Arthur, from the under-14 team, see them as role models, stating, "If they reached the top level by starting here, it means it's possible for us too."
