Following the floods of October 20th, Martine Vassal, President of the Departmental Council of Bouches-du-Rhône, has asked the State to accelerate the recognition of the natural disaster status for the affected municipalities.

After releasing an exceptional fund of 5 million euros to support the affected municipalities, the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône continues its commitment. During the visit of Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister Delegate for Ecological Transition, this Friday, October 23rd, Martine Vassal requested urgent recognition of the natural disaster status. This measure is considered essential to speed up damage processing by insurance companies and allow affected residents, families, and professionals to initiate compensation procedures.
The President of the Departmental Council now calls on the State to act quickly to support the territories and populations affected by these floods.
