Nearly 20,000 runners took part in this iconic 20 km race, connecting Marseille to Cassis, notably passing through the Col de la Gineste and the Carpiagne plateau. Among them, 400 personnel from SDIS 13 were registered. The Union Pompiers13 particularly shone, ranking 5th out of 301 team groups.
Notable individual performances were achieved by several runners. Mohamed Seghini, a firefighter from Châteaurenard, finished 25th overall with a time of 1 hour, 6 minutes, and 14 seconds. Nicolas Philipona, a professional in Martigues, ranked 33rd in 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 56 seconds. Special mention goes to Jolan Martin-Roche, a volunteer in Auriol and the current French junior cross-country firefighter champion, who finished 45th in his first participation with a time of 1 hour, 9 minutes, and 41 seconds.
Alongside the race, a rescue operation was deployed by Pompiers13, involving 116 personnel. In total, 93 runners received assistance, with 24 requiring transport to a medical facility. This operation, managed by the Health sub-directorate of Pompiers13, was supported by the invaluable assistance of the Samu, the Croix Blanche, EuroMediCare, the Marseille Firefighters Battalion, and civil security.
