The Academy of Architecture has awarded the prestigious 2026 Architecture Medal – Prix Dejean to Régis Roudil, architect and founder of Atelier Régis Roudil Architectes, based in Aix-en-Provence.

A graduate of the Marseille National Higher School of Architecture in 2008, Régis Roudil has developed a practice attentive to materials, local resources, and economy of means. His work explores various scales and fields of architecture, from urban planning to scenography and interior design, with a particular focus on mass, light, material, and proportions.
Among his notable achievements are eight social housing units in Gignac-la-Nerthe, built with solid stone and timber structure, which were nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Awards 2024. The multi-purpose hall in Coudoux, constructed from Aleppo pine, has also received several awards.
A laureate of the Albums des jeunes architectes et paysagistes (AJAP) in 2018, Régis Roudil has also been teaching at the ensa•m since 2014. He has been an associate professor in TPCAU since 2019, continuing his commitment to training future architects.
This new distinction from the Academy of Architecture celebrates a career marked by committed architecture, attention to territories, materials, and know-how, and a practice that combines research, teaching, and realization.
