The rehabilitation of the Campagne-Lévêque estate in Marseille, a major project led by the State, began in mid-August with the demolition of building B.

The rehabilitation project for the Campagne-Lévêque housing estate in the 15th arrondissement of Marseille has officially begun. This large-scale construction site, with a budget exceeding 100 million euros, is being managed by the State in partnership with 13 Habitat, the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône, and the Metropolis Aix-Marseille-Provence.
The first phase of work started in mid-August with the demolition of building B, which contained 104 dwellings. This stage, completed in early October, paves the way for a profound transformation of the site, scheduled to extend until 2030.
The overall operation includes the demolition of 384 dwellings, the restructuring of 254 apartments, and the renovation of 166 others. The main objective is to provide residents with a modernized, safer, and more pleasant living environment, enhanced by new outdoor spaces.
