More than a third of blood transfusions are for patients suffering from cancer. Heavy treatments like chemotherapy often require regular transfusions to support patients throughout their care. During this Pink October month, the call for blood donation is amplified.
Donating blood, plasma, or platelets is a concrete act that directly contributes to the care of those in need. The French Blood Establishment (EFS) encourages the public to get involved.
The next collection will therefore be held on Friday, October 16, from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, at the Espace Culturel Maurice Brès in Mollégès.
