From the leisure center to the seniors, including the middle school and local associations, the town of Trets is actively mobilizing in October 2026 for Pink October, supporting research and awareness against breast cancer.

Throughout October 2026, the town of Trets demonstrates its solidarity for Pink October. Young people, seniors, the municipal central kitchen, the middle school Les Hauts de l’Arc, and various local associations are participating in initiatives to inform, raise awareness, support research, and collect funds for the fight against breast cancer.
The municipal central kitchen is contributing to the campaign. On Wednesday, October 14, pink madeleines will be served at the Lou Cigaloun leisure center's meal. Older residents will then share a convivial moment with seniors from La Forge, enjoying this pink treat and fostering intergenerational exchange. Supplier Sysco also joins by donating €3.50 per case sold to the Ruban Rose association.
On Thursday, October 8, the middle school Les Hauts de l’Arc is organizing a breast cancer awareness day. A pink-themed menu will be offered to students and staff, accompanied by information on prevention and the importance of screening. Students and adults are also invited to wear a touch of pink in support.
The associative fabric of Trets is also highly involved. GST is selling Pink October keychains all month. On Saturday, October 17, ES13 will host an online dance session at Place de la Gare (free donation), followed at 3 PM by a Zumba session from Team’Z (participation: €10). On Sunday, October 18, La Saint-Éloi is organizing the Rando Rose (registration: €10).
All funds raised by these associations will be donated to the Institut Paoli Calmettes (IPC). Several local associations, including the Handball Club Tretsois, the Badminton Club Tretsois, and the BMX Club Sainte-Victoire, are showing their support by displaying pink throughout the month.
In Trets, solidarity is expressed collectively to advance the fight against breast cancer.
