Firefighters from the 7th RIISC in Brignoles joined the cause of Pink October on Friday, October 30, 2026. Their symbolic run, connecting Camp Couderc to the town center, aimed to show support for those affected by breast cancer and encourage screening.
Welcomed at Place Carami by Joseph Sinigaglia, municipal councilor for defense matters, Colonel Cyrille Chauveau, head of Brignoles' Civil Security, and his troops participated in the run for this important cause. Colonel Chauveau highlighted the significance of this stage, symbolizing the bond between the regiment and the city of Brignoles. He emphasized that effort and solidarity are central to their mission, and this run was dedicated to all individuals fighting breast cancer.
« Our mission is to protect and rescue. But we don't just protect in emergencies: we also protect by engaging, raising awareness, and setting an example. Today, our uniform changes color, but our commitment remains intact », stated Colonel Chauveau, reaffirming the 7th RIISC's strong ties to Brignoles and its dedication to the community.
Joseph Sinigaglia, in turn, emphasized the impact of these simple yet vital messages. He praised the regiment's commitment, aligning with their values of cohesion, solidarity, and self-improvement. He also expressed the pride of the City of Brignoles in having the 7th RIISC among its active forces, highlighting the strong connections between the municipality and the Civil Security unit.
On behalf of Mayor Didier Brémond, the municipal council, and the residents of Brignoles, Joseph Sinigaglia extended sincere thanks to the 7th RIISC for this initiative and for their daily commitment.
