The J. de Romilly media library and the Auditorium Chabran in Draguignan are preparing to welcome the public for a cultural season dedicated to literature and the pleasure of words. This autumn-winter, a varied program promises encounters, performances, and workshops to explore the richness of languages and writing.
Starting Saturday, October 3rd, the media library will host readings with Léona D. by Ella Balaert, followed in the evening by a performance titled 'Rire de tous les mots' (Laughter of all words) by Compagnie TST at the Auditorium Chabran.
October will also feature conferences. On Tuesday, October 6th, Adrien Meguerditchian from the CNRS will speak on the gestural origins of language. On Friday, October 9th, Médéric Gasquet-Cyrus will explore 'Le parler marseillais' (Marseille dialect).
Younger audiences are not forgotten, with story readings offered on Wednesday, October 7th by Lire et Faire lire (Read and Make Read) at the media library. Writing workshops inspired by OuLiPo will also be held on Fridays, October 16th, November 20th, and December 18th.
Other events will punctuate the season, such as the game 'Motchus en laïve' hosted by Médéric Gasquet-Cyrus on Saturday, October 17th, the 'Dictadulte' (Adult Dictation) on Saturday, November 7th, and a literary encounter with author Adèle Yon discussing her novel 'Mon vrai nom est Elisabeth' (My real name is Elisabeth) on Saturday, November 14th.
