The city of La Seyne-sur-Mer has completed de-sealing work at the central cemetery, aimed at improving rainwater infiltration and creating a new columbarium space.

The de-sealing operation of the paths in the central cemetery aimed to facilitate the infiltration of rainwater into the soil, which was previously waterproofed by asphalt. This approach thus seeks to limit water flow towards the city center.
Landscaping and greening work were also carried out to recreate a columbarium space, including a place of remembrance. A second dispersion well and a new monument for the deposit of cremation urns have been installed.
The total cost of this work amounts to €190,944.50 excluding tax. The funding is distributed as follows: 10.15% by the Water Agency, 22.25% by the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis, 26.20% by the Department of Var, and 41.40% by the City of La Seyne-sur-Mer (self-financing).
