Originally from Madagascar, where she was born in 1926, Marie Urbain has celebrated her centenary. After obtaining her elementary education certificate, she worked as a teacher on the island.
On July 12, 1957, she married a doctor, whom she accompanied through his various postings, first in Madagascar and then in France, including stays in Brittany, Manosque, and Paris. These diverse locations allowed her to discover new horizons and gain numerous experiences.
Family subsequently became a central focus of her life. As the mother of 8 children, she is now the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, a large family that holds a vital place in her life.
Mrs. Urbain enjoys reading and, particularly, cooking, a passion she has always actively pursued. With 8 children to raise, leisure time was indeed limited! Even today, she enjoys cooking and taking care of herself, maintaining a keen sense of style.
At 100 years old, she remains attentive to her well-being and maintains her daily self-care routine. Her longevity is a testament to a life rich in travel, family connections, and abundant memories.
