An initiative supported by the Global Territorial Convention and the Var Family Allocation Fund allowed young people to discover the many facets of AI. The morning featured eight 10-minute workshops, held in the Malraux hall, to better understand how AI works. At noon, the young participants shared a convivial lunch in the Jardin de la Liberté.
The day continued with a film debate around the movie "Artificial Intelligence: Understand to Choose Better," followed by participatory exchanges led by Merlin from the Federation of Secular Works (FOL). Topics such as information reliability, personal data protection, and the influence of algorithms were discussed to learn how to use AI while developing critical thinking.
At the heart of this meeting, a strong message was conveyed: artificial intelligence is a formidable tool, but it must never replace individual reflection. Developing critical thinking, exercising free will, and learning to question the answers provided by technologies are essential skills for tomorrow's citizens.
Through this initiative, the Communauté de communes Méditerranée Porte des Maures continues its commitment to digital education and youth citizenship.
