The monumental carved wooden door of the Pignans Town Hall, a remarkable element of the communal heritage, is currently undergoing a complete restoration by Didier Persico.

As part of the town hall's redevelopment works, the door, dating from 1683, has been removed. It will be fully restored before being put back in place to serve as the entrance to the town hall's reception area.
This door is considered one of the most remarkable elements of Pignans' heritage. Its upper part features the town's coat of arms, adorned with pine cones (pignes), supported by two sculpted angels. The door leaf displays a geometric decoration of molded panels and rosettes, with a door knocker surrounded by a mascaron in its center.
It is located beneath the stone portal, dated 1683, which marks the entrance to the former birthplace of Jules Gérard. This building was bequeathed to the municipality and has become the current Town Hall.
