The official signing of the renewal of this partnership took place on October 1st at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, formalized by Jean-Pierre Fresia, Vice-President Delegate for Maritime Spaces and Mayor of Ramatuelle, and Denis Robert, Director of the company Bateaux verts / Vedettes des Îles d’Or. This agreement goes beyond administrative boundaries to reflect a shared commitment to making marine environment awareness and preservation a collective effort, involving public actors and professionals who are daily in contact with the coastline.
In 2025, the companies Bateaux verts and Vedettes des Îles d’Or transported a total of 600,000 passengers and conducted 42 excursions within the Marine Protected Area of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. This partnership thus allows them to reach a significant audience through the dissemination of awareness messages during excursions, via the companies' information materials and their digital platforms.
The companies also welcome school groups as part of projects led by the Communauté de communes. These educational outings aim to introduce children to the sea, help them understand its workings, and raise their awareness of the need to preserve it. Furthermore, observations made by crews and naturalists during excursions can be transmitted to the Marine Protected Area, contributing to enriching knowledge about marine mammals and turtles offshore.
The Communauté de communes supports the companies by providing them with content and materials on environmental issues, organizing training sessions for captains and crews, and enabling them to use adapted messages to raise their clientele's awareness. The protection of the coastline is presented as a shared responsibility, mobilizing all stakeholders in the territory and each of us.
Bateaux Verts and Vedettes des Îles d’Or are thanked for their involvement and loyalty in this initiative over the past 6 years.
