This Thursday, October 1, 2026, Amphi 100 on the Toulon campus of the Faculty of Law will host the first study day for doctoral students from the CDPC-JCE. The event, running from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, will address the issue of individual protection in the face of social crises, environmental risks, and the rise of digital technologies.
The day will explore this issue through three complementary axes. Discussions on social issues will cover religious freedom, the consent of individuals in social or medico-social establishments, and the tensions between property rights and the right to housing.
The environmental axis will examine corporate responsibility, health risks related to water quality, and the effects of air pollution on populations. Finally, presentations on digital topics will address personal data protection, algorithmic decisions, consumer rights, and the individual's place in the face of artificial intelligence.
This day aims to bring together doctoral students and researchers from several universities to foster a dialogue on the current forms of legal protection for the individual.
