Following the serious events of October 17, and in response to the call from the Mayors of France, the residents of Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne are invited to gather at Place du Félibrige.
Monday, October 19, 2026, at 6 PM.
This gathering will be a moment of solidarity and unity around the values of the Republic, to show our support for law enforcement, emergency services, and shopkeepers whose businesses have been vandalized.
We must be united and supportive to defend the values of our Republic.

The Association of Mayors of France (AMF) calls for gatherings in front of town halls on Monday, October 19, starting at noon. In the face of fires at town halls and public buildings, as well as looting of shops, the AMF fully condemns these aggressions and vandalism, which attack public liberties. It expresses its solidarity with the affected municipalities, such as Limoges, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux, Calais, Grenoble, and its gratitude to law enforcement and emergency service personnel.
The AMF therefore calls on mayors, municipal councils to gather, with all living forces who wish to do so, on Monday, October 19, starting at noon or later in the day. These serious attacks on democratic institutions pose a real risk to the entire Nation, with the priority now being the restoration of order so that public liberties can be respected.
