This Monday, October 12, students from the ULIS class at Maillaude school visited the central kitchen in Sorgues for the 'Semaine du goût', discovering the behind-the-scenes of meal preparation.

On the occasion of the 'Semaine du goût' (Taste Week), students from the ULIS class at Maillaude school were welcomed this Monday, October 12 to the central kitchen for a discovery-rich visit.
On the agenda: an immersion into the world of collective catering with a presentation of the different stages: from receiving raw ingredients to their storage, through to the preparation and delivery of meals.
Very curious, the children asked numerous questions about the preparation of the meals they find every day in their school's canteen.
An enriching morning to better understand what goes onto their plates!
Other visits will be organized soon with schools in the town, to allow new students to discover the operation of the central kitchen and the work of the teams.
The menu for this 'Semaine du goût' promises to awaken the children's taste buds with dishes such as coconut milk lentil curry, old-fashioned beetroot, chicken tandoori, carrot and cumin velouté, red fruit panna cotta, or lemon mousse.
