Beta Film, Pyjama Pictures, and Unlimited Stories announce the world premiere presentation of the series Queen Silvia at the MIPCOM event in Cannes. The screening will take place at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès and will be accessible free of charge to the public, subject to prior registration.
This drama, inspired by true events, chronicles the love affair between Silvia Sommerlath and Crown Prince Carl Gustaf. The narrative explores the demands of duty and the challenges related to their identities. Spanning settings from Munich in the 1970s to Stockholm and the French Riviera, the film depicts the beginnings of a relationship destined to change their lives and make history.
Prior to the screening, the audience will enjoy an exclusive live musical performance. The series will then be shown in its original version with French subtitles.
Following the screening, the actors and film crew will participate in a question-and-answer session with the audience. They will discuss the project's genesis, directorial choices, and the work involved in bringing this story, inspired by real people and events, to the screen.
Registration is open until Tuesday, the 12th, at 10 AM. The first batch of tickets will be sent on Wednesday the 7th, and the second on Tuesday the 12th after 10 AM. The event will be held in the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière.
