As part of the Sustainable Development Week, 730 Cycle 3 students from Pays des Paillons participated in an interactive conference on sustainable food on October 1st and 2nd, 2026.

The Communauté de Communes du Pays des Paillons, in partnership with the association ACME: Action Citoyenne pour un Meilleur Environnement, organized an interactive conference dedicated to sustainable food. The event took place on October 1st and 2nd, 2026 in the community halls of the Théâtre de l’Hélice in Contes and l’Escale in L’Escarène.
Led by Cyril Dufer from Bio-sphère, the conference captivated the young participants by addressing various topics such as Nutriscore, labels, pesticides, palm oil, the impact of livestock farming on climate, and different dietary choices (vegetarian, vegan).
The children discovered the contents of their plates and imagined the food of tomorrow, including crops grown under LED and protein-rich insect-based snacks. An interactive quiz engaged the students, who all left with the message of changing their eating habits for their health and the environment.
A subsequent conference is planned for students from Berre-les-Alpes.
