The ESS Month, taking place throughout November, highlights the richness and diversity of the social and solidarity economy through numerous initiatives offered in the region. The goal is to introduce projects, share experiences, encourage networking, and support those who wish to take concrete action.
The official opening will take place on Thursday, November 5th at 6:00 PM with the screening and debate of the documentary « Act as if you could not fail », retracing the life of Claude Alphandéry, a pioneer of the ESS. This event, organized by the CAPG in partnership with France Active, will be held at the Cinéma La Strada in Mouans-Sartoux.
On Friday, November 6th and Saturday, November 7th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the Conseil de Développement du Pays de Grasse (Grasse Region Development Council) invites you to a seminar titled « Democracy in action, let's trust each other. » at the Médiathèque Charles Nègre in Grasse. Two days of workshops, debates, and conferences with academics and qualified personalities are planned to discuss participatory democracy.
On Thursday, November 12th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the ESS and Social Innovation Territories Chair is organizing a forum at Grasse Campus (18 rue de l’Ancien Palais de Justice) on the theme « Your territories, your projects: take action through participatory research. » The event, in partnership with Université Côte d’Azur and the University Foundation, aims to identify priority issues and foster research projects.
A morning session on « Responsible Public Procurement » is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17th from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Salle Absolue, Espace Jacques-Louis-Lions, in Grasse. It will provide an opportunity to discuss levers for responsible public procurement and to engage directly with local economic activity integration structures.
On Wednesday, November 18th, advisory sessions will be held at the Maison du Commerce, et de l’Artisanat (House of Commerce and Crafts), 18 cours Honoré Cresp, in Grasse: cooperative life advice with URSCOP (10:00 AM), associative life advice with APPASCAM (1:30 PM), and a session with the Chamber of Social and Solidarity Economy (CRESS) (4:00 PM).
France Active is offering a collective workshop on Thursday, November 19th from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Restaurant le Mas du Calme, 51 chemin Tourache, in Grasse, on the theme « Anticipating and managing difficulties in your ESS structures. »
On the same day, Thursday, November 19th at 12:00 PM, the Local Cooperation Lunch of the Grasse Region will take place at the same venue, fostering mutual understanding and sharing among ESS actors, businesses, and citizens.
A « Parcours le Monde » (World Journey) workshop will be held on Friday, November 20th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mission locale du Pays de Grasse (Local Mission of the Grasse Region), 16 chemin de Camperousse, in Grasse, to discover European mobility programs for young people.
On Tuesday, November 24th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the COM’1 Lab invites you to discover initiatives from entrepreneurs who are reinventing economic models at the Salle Culturelle et Sportive du Val de Siagne (Cultural and Sports Hall of Val de Siagne), 1975 avenue de la République, in La Roquette-sur-Siagne.
The cooperative PEP2A and the CAPG are organizing a practical workshop on Saturday, November 28th from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Maison de l’Alimentation et du Développement Durable (House of Food and Sustainable Development), 3 chemin de la Siagne, in Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, on the theme « Sharing electricity among neighbors! »
Finally, on Saturday, December 5th from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, FestiSol « The Factory of Citizen Initiatives » will take place at Grasse Campus, offering a festive day to discover concrete local solutions for a world in transition.
