Prepare for a weekend of scientific exploration on October 10-11, 2026, in Antibes Juan-les-Pins. The 11th edition of the Village des Sciences et de l'Innovation, an initiative by the Communauté d'agglomération Sophia Antipolis (CASA), opens its doors at the Palais des Congrès. This event, a collaboration with the Sophia Club Entreprises and the Université Côte d'Azur, aims to share the passion of the Sophia Antipolis ecosystem, including laboratories, start-ups, and large companies.
The program features over 40 stands offering diverse scientific discoveries across 4 main themes. Highlights include robotics and programming workshops to pilot your own car, an escape game titled 'Les Magiciens du Numérique' (The Digital Magicians), and the chance to create your first website with AI through 'Code Her'. Virtual reality will also be featured with the City of Antibes.
The event will also offer a sensory taste journey at the 'Tribunal des papilles' (Taste Buds Tribunal), a behind-the-scenes look at an Air France flight, and a sophrology workshop presented by the Department. A planetarium and a conference on solar eclipses will also be part of the offerings.
A centerpiece of the festival will be the puppet show 'Dernières Nouvelles de la mer' (Latest News from the Sea), suitable for ages 6 and up. This musical and audiovisual creation, praised by the press, follows two pelagic detectives investigating ocean preservation.
This year, the focus is on food with 'Saveurs savantes' (Savvy Flavors), exploring nutrition, health, and innovation. The weekend is designed as an interactive experience where science is lived, touched, and shared, welcoming families, the curious, and science enthusiasts.
On Saturday, October 10th, doors will be open from 1 PM to 7 PM, and on Sunday, October 11th, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Entry is free. The detailed program will be available for download soon.
