Mediterranean episodes, which occur several times a year, often in autumn, can cause considerable damage to soils already weakened by drought. The City deploys information and prevention measures to help residents better anticipate these phenomena.
An SMS alert system is available for registered residents. It disseminates messages concerning safety, prevention, and solidarity in case of major events (climatic, health, serious accidents) as well as municipal information on the commune's news and major events. Registration is done online on the city's website.
The Communal Document for Major Risks (Dicrim) serves as an essential guide. Available online or at the Town Hall, it details local risks such as Mediterranean episodes, floods, storms, forest fires, and provides safety instructions, alert methods, emergency numbers, and procedures to follow. It also includes a recommended safety kit (radio, flashlights, provisions).
In parallel, the French Red Cross is launching its CatakitⓇ, a ready-to-use emergency bag to cover essential needs in critical situations, to be supplemented according to individual needs.
Finally, the National Alert Network's sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of each month at noon. In case of a real alert, they emit a specific signal composed of three sequences of 1 minute and 41 seconds.
