Throughout the week, students from the commune's elementary schools are taking on the challenge set by novelist Laurent Mauvignier, winner of the Prix Goncourt 2025 and author of the 2026 ELA dictation.
This Monday, October 12th, Mayor Lionel de Cala, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor for Education, Stéphanie Gréco de Coningh, Alexandre Martin, representatives from the ELA association, and actor David Baiot, patron of the 2026 edition, launched the operation. The event took place at the Thyde Monnier des Gonagues school with the CM2 students of Monsieur Borsotto.
Beyond the writing exercise, this initiative aims to foster discussions on respect, citizenship, and mutual aid. It also serves to raise funds to support medical research and assist families and patients affected by a rare genetic disease affecting the central nervous system.
To conclude this studious morning, each student received a diploma signed by Zinedine Zidane, ELA's emblematic patron.
