The new edition of Octobre Rose in Allauch has confirmed a trend of local anchoring: an increasingly dense program and ever-stronger citizen mobilization. Throughout the month of October, the town is committing for the 6th consecutive year to cancer research and joining the national campaign for breast cancer screening awareness.
Dressed in pink, the Allaudiens gathered to form a human ribbon, after having vibrated to the rhythm of performances by the Chœur du Sud, Tahitian dance demonstrations by Ô Vai Fa’Atapu, line dancing by Country New Line, and an urban show by F2 Dance. The official launch, marked by the presence of Marie Christine Ciannarella this Friday, October 2nd, on the Place des Écoles in La Pounche, set the tone. The godmother of this edition, Zize Dupanier, will support this initiative until October 30th, with the goal of surpassing the record amount of €29,079.50 raised last year for the Institut Paoli-Calmettes.
Over the weeks, numerous events are planned to animate "Octobre Rose" throughout the commune: theater, photo exhibition, aquagym, guided walk, lottery, conference, blood drive, concerts, Corsican evening, and pétanque. This program demonstrates the capacity of associations and volunteers to mobilize around a common cause.
A big thank you is extended to the parents' association of the Collège Yves Montand as well as to all the mobilized associations: T’Hâtez-Vous, Le Chœur du Sud, Ô Vai Fa’Atapu, F2 Dance, Country New Line, ADSB Allauch, CRDC, CPTS Canton Vert, the CCAS d’Allauch, the Rotary Club Allauch, the Hôpital d’Allauch, the APE de La Pounche, Les Sages-Femmes du Centre Medical de Fontvieille, Les Godillots Garriguois, and La Maison Municipale des retraités Actifs.
Upcoming events for the week include, on Friday, October 9th at 7:30 PM, the play "Allez on danse" at the Espace R.Ollive, presented by the association "Les tréteaux de Carnoux" (ticket price: €12, reduced €6). On Saturday, October 10th, two Aquagym sessions are offered at the municipal pool (6 PM-7 PM and 7 PM-8 PM) by the association "Aquatic Club Allaudien" (price: €10 per session). A guided walk "On the footsteps of Marcel Pagnol" will start at 9 AM from the foot of the village of La Treille, organized by "Les Amis de Marcel Pagnol". Participants can make a donation for Octobre Rose. An "APE en rose" evening with an Afro Dance Hall demonstration will take place in the François Mitterrand hall at 7:30 PM, organized by the APE of Allauch Centre, des Gonagues, and du Logis-Neuf with Space One (reservations at 06 89 46 37 55).
