The Berthier swimming pool in Arles reopened its doors on Monday, November 2, 2026, unveiling completely renovated pools and an artistic mural.

Users of the Berthier swimming pool were met with a pleasant surprise on Monday, November 2, 2026: upon reopening after significant works carried out throughout the summer, they discovered entirely refurbished pools and a mural created on the wall of the small pool. This artistic touch concludes a major project.
Both pools have undergone a complete treatment of their steel shells, both internally and externally, before the installation of a new coating. This renovation aims to ensure the longevity and quality of the facility. The mural is the work of artist Louiza Gragati.
The total cost of the operation amounts to €546,646 including tax. This funding is distributed as follows: 45% by the Departmental Council of Bouches-du-Rhône, 35% by the State under the Local Investment Support Allocation (DSIL), and 20% by the city of Arles.
The pool offers varied opening hours for the public: Monday and Thursday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM; Tuesday and Friday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM; Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM; Saturday from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM; and Sunday from 10:10 AM to 1:00 PM.
Aquagym classes are also offered on Monday at 11:45 AM and 7:30 PM, Tuesday at 12:30 PM, Wednesday at 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM, Thursday at 12:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and Friday at 11:45 AM. Other activities, such as private and semi-private swimming lessons, or courses to overcome fear of water and improve swimming technique, are also available.
