In anticipation of new rainfall expected from the night of Tuesday, November 3rd to Wednesday, November 4th, the City of Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts is continuing its mobilization to anticipate risks.

Since the floods of October 20th, several clearing operations have already been carried out on clogged ditches (roubines). In coordination with the Department, new mechanized interventions are being organized on sections still requiring clearing.
The operations planned for Tuesday, November 3rd concern the Bellevue / Marcel Carné ditches and the ditch of Arthur's beach. These interventions are a continuation of the work already undertaken in various sectors of the commune.
The objective is to facilitate water flow and limit obstruction risks during upcoming precipitation. Weather forecasts predict approximately 45 mm of cumulative rain over four days, compared to 325 mm during the storms of October 20th. The announced wind is also expected to help move storm cells.
Vigilance remains necessary. The City reminds residents to respect safety instructions near the work sites. The City and its partners remain fully mobilized to anticipate risks and protect residents.
