The town of Berre-l'Étang is launching a domestic compost bin distribution program for its residents, an initiative aimed at reducing waste and environmental impact.

As part of its sustainable development policy, the municipality of Berre-l'Étang, along with the other 16 towns in the Pays Salonais region, is rolling out a home composting initiative. This program aims to provide households with practical solutions to reduce their waste at the source and thereby lessen their environmental impact.
Compost bins will be distributed across all 17 municipalities in the area, with allocation based on the number of inhabitants. To participate, interested individuals must register and collect their compost bin during dedicated distribution sessions. These sessions will open progressively.
If Berre-l'Étang does not appear in the time slot options during online ordering, it is advisable to wait a few days to complete the registration. For a fee of €10 paid at the time of online order, a 10-minute training session on the proper use of the composter and compost, along with a guide to individual composting, participants will receive their compost bin.
The distribution of compost bins and composting awareness activities are scheduled for November 26 in the parking lot of the Alain Bombard hall. It is recommended to book a time slot as soon as possible.
