Bouc-Bel-Air marked a significant milestone in its sports infrastructure development with the official inauguration of its new "Pôle Glisse" (Action Hub) in Montaury on Friday, October 16th. The facility, long-awaited by local youth and extreme sports enthusiasts, was opened by Mayor Mathieu Piétri and his municipal team during a large, popular festive evening.
Located next to the Guy Drut parking lot, the new "Pôle Glisse" combines a modern pump track and a comprehensive skatepark. This space is designed to accommodate all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced riders, whether they use skateboards, scooters, BMX bikes, or roller skates. The municipality has fulfilled its promise to offer Boucains a quality space that reflects their interests, where they can practice, progress, and socialize.
The inauguration event, themed around street culture and music, kicked off at 5 PM with free introductory workshops led by professionals, followed by spectacular demonstrations from experienced riders. A young Boucaine skateboarder received special mention and applause from the captivated audience. A DJ provided the evening's soundtrack, accompanied by a live graffiti performance by an artist.
“"Offering our young people quality facilities that reflect them is an absolute priority for our municipality. This action hub is a place to practice and progress, but above all, it's a fantastic creator of social connection between all generations of Boucains. Much more than a sports facility, it's your new living space: enjoy it, make it vibrant!"
The evening continued with an aperitif and a toast, concluding with a free "Fun and Sound" session, bringing together BMX, skate, scooter, and roller enthusiasts. The "Pôle Glisse" is now open daily in Montaury.
