The intervention by the Bouc-Bel-Air Municipal Police led to the issuance of 124 contraventions and the towing of several vehicles around the Arena du Pays d'Aix. This initiative aims to ensure the safety of residents and improve traffic flow.
For the concert held on Wednesday, October 28th, Mathieu Pietri, the mayor of Bouc Bel Air, initiated a reinforced control operation against illegal parking near the venue. For years, residents have denounced recurrent anarchic parking behaviors, such as vehicles parked on sidewalks or blocking access, compromising the safety of drivers and pedestrians.
Addressing these risks and the mayor's request, an enhanced control and enforcement system was deployed. This operation, following a similar one on March 12, 2026 (which resulted in 58 fines), aimed to penalize infractions, clear essential spaces for vehicle and pedestrian circulation, and prevent accidents.
In coordination with the municipal police and the national gendarmerie, a zero tolerance operation was implemented. Intensive checks were carried out on strategic routes, leading to 124 fines and the impoundment of several vehicles.
Through this operation, the mayor asserts his determination to end these uncivil behaviors. Adherence to parking and traffic regulations is presented not as an option, but a necessity for ensuring everyone's safety and tranquility. Mathieu Pietri reminds that similar measures will be repeated for future events at the Arena and urges spectators to favor appropriate parking solutions and alternative transportation.
