Starting October 28, 2026, residents of Carry-le-Rouet will be able to benefit from a free electric-assisted bicycle (VAE) loan service. This experimental program, running until mid-February 2027, aims to promote sustainable transportation.

As part of the La Côte Bleue à Vélo project, the municipality of Carry-le-Rouet is implementing a free loan service for electric-assisted bicycles (VAE). This initiative, previously tested in neighboring towns, will allow adult residents to try out an e-bike for 15 days for their daily commutes.
For this iteration in Carry-le-Rouet, the bicycle fleet has been doubled from 4 to 8 VAEs. This increase aims to offer more loan slots and allow a greater number of people to participate in this experiment. The schedule has also been extended until mid-February 2027.
The available loan periods are: October 28 to November 10, November 10 to November 25, November 25 to December 10, December 10 to December 17 (one week), December 17 to January 6 (three weeks), January 6 to January 20, January 20 to February 3, and February 3 to February 17. As places are limited, a waiting list will be established if demand is high.
The 15-day loan is entirely free and governed by a contract. A non-debited security deposit of €800 is required to cover potential damage or theft. Bicycle pick-up and return will take place at the Complexe sportif de Carry-le-Rouet.
Registration for Carry-le-Rouet residents opens in October via the La Côte Bleue à Vélo project website or by email at cotebleueavelo@gmail.com. Early registration is recommended due to limited availability.
