“"Given our significant exposure to forest fire risks, this initiative is of real interest to the residents of Cuges and aligns perfectly with the orientations of the Communal Safeguard Plan, as well as the strong municipal will to reinforce prevention and risk culture among the population. Administrative and climatic changes now require us to completely rethink our fire protection. We will soon offer the public information sessions on this reform we are implementing."

Pompiers 13 is organizing the « SERIFEN TOUR » to raise public awareness about natural space fire risks, with a session planned in Cuges-les-Pins on May 14, 2027.
Pompiers 13 has launched the « SERIFEN TOUR », an initiative aimed at informing the public about the risks of natural space fires. This program, supported by the prefecture of Bouches-du-Rhône and the Departmental Council, offers practical training on behaviors to adopt before, during, and after a forest fire.
SERIFEN is a comprehensive toolkit developed by the specialized natural risk teams of Pompiers 13. The objective is to ensure lasting public awareness regarding fires, with a sensitization session organized weekly at a fire and rescue center in the department until June 2027.
This approach emphasizes that every citizen is responsible for their own safety and must act to protect populations and their territory, in line with the Civil Security Modernization Law of August 13, 2004. This shift in perspective is fostered by various civil security bodies.
A sensitization session will take place in Cuges-les-Pins on May 14, 2027, at 6:30 PM, at the Fire and Rescue Center on Chemin de la Feutrière. Firefighters will answer public questions and present appropriate behaviors in case of fire.
