Nearly half of the territory's 60 recycling centers are now equipped with Reuse Spaces, including a donation center. These areas allow users to drop off items that are in good condition or repairable. A partner association collects these articles, refurbishes them, and then resells them at low prices in its Ressourcerie (second-hand shop).
Accepted items include good-condition objects such as small furniture, tableware, decorative items, trinkets, small appliances, sports, gardening, DIY items, and toys. Excluded are damaged items, hazardous products, items requiring hygiene precautions (mattresses, pillows), or safety measures (motorcycle helmets, baby seats).
Reusing items contributes to environmental preservation by reducing waste generation and the consumption of new products, thereby limiting natural resource use and ecological footprint. It also supports the local economy by assisting associations that create jobs and contribute to neighborhood revitalization.
The partner Ressourceries offer a wide selection of second-hand items at affordable prices, including clothing, decor, tableware, furniture, and toys. Buying second-hand allows for savings, the discovery of unique items, combating waste, and supporting the social and solidarity economy. Self-repair and creative workshops are also available.
