The 2026 edition of Mois sans Tabac (Month Without Tobacco) offers smokers a new opportunity to join a collective movement to quit smoking for 30 days. This initiative, proven effective over the years, relies on personalized support to stimulate smokers' motivation and increase their chances of quitting permanently.
Numerous tools are available to help individuals find the support they need: a quit-aid kit with the 40-day program, consultation with a tobacco specialist by calling 39 89, and the Tabac info service website, app, and social media for information, content, and mutual support. Quitting for a month multiplies the chances of stopping definitively by five.
Throughout October, smokers can prepare for the challenge by registering on the dedicated website and the Tabac info service app.
This year again, local actions are being deployed to reach smokers more effectively in the region:
The inter-structure challenge, funded by the ARS Paca and organized by the CRES Paca, is launched for all organizations in the region (institutions, companies, associations, health facilities, etc.). Teams will be formed to participate in quick, fun, and creative challenges.
The CSAPA of Avignon, part of the Addictions France association, will offer numerous free activities, including information sessions on cessation treatments, health walks, and relaxation and sophrology sessions. Registrations can be made directly with the CSAPA at 04 90 13 37 50.
The city of Nice plans various workshops: information sessions on tobacco, cessation methods, and nutrition, a tobacco information point with quit-aid kit distribution, yoga sessions, and an Acti’Santé walking loop. Registrations at 04 92 17 44 86.
Provence santé coordination will offer smoking cessation programs, including group and individual workshops, as well as video conferencing sessions. Registrations at 04 42 642 642.
A Facebook group is also available, featuring specific moderation and support from a tobacco specialist to assist registered members.
