Against the backdrop of strategic rebalancing and changing international dynamics, Anne-Claire Legendre and Thierry Fabre will share their perspectives. Drawing on their respective experiences and Thierry Fabre's latest book, Face aux empires, la voie méditerranéenne. Essai pour un avenir désirable, they will explore the potential for Mediterranean universalism and its future role.
Anne-Claire Legendre, a career diplomat, has extensive experience in international relations, particularly in the Middle East. Her previous roles include Consul General of France in New York, French Ambassador to Kuwait, spokesperson for the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, and North Africa and Middle East advisor to the President of the Republic. She currently heads the Arab World Institute.
Thierry Fabre is a recognized essayist, researcher, and specialist in the Mediterranean region, focusing for many years on its contemporary cultures and issues. His essay Face aux empires, la voie méditerranéenne was published by Riveneuve.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Roxana Nadim, head of cultural affairs at Sciences Po Aix, in dialogue with students from the Master 1 Cultural Policy and Patronage program.
