Each year, Pink October aims to raise awareness about breast cancer screening and support research. In Lambesc, the Town Council, the CCAS, municipal employees, and associations are mobilizing to bring this campaign to life.
For the first time, the Town Council and the CCAS are offering an afternoon dedicated to prevention, information, and support. Open to all, this event will bring together health professionals, associations, and specialized speakers to better understand the disease and discover available resources.
To support this mobilization, the employees of the Green Spaces department have created two plant-based messages on the roundabout facing the Gendarmerie: 'For the furrows of healing,' with a hay rake, and 'Let's sow hope in cancer research,' with a seed drill.
The Bertoire mill will also be lit up in pink starting tonight and until the end of the month to support Pink October and raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
Municipal employees are also participating in the Connected Pink October Challenge 2026, organized by Dépistage des Cancers Sud Paca, with the goal of covering as many kilometers as possible on foot, by bike, swimming, or in any other discipline.
Lambesc associations are also mobilizing. You can find their initiatives on the Facebook group Lambesc ville des associations.
