The fire and rescue center of Marignane, in collaboration with its association and the Union Pompiers13, organized a padel tournament in Saint-Victoret on Saturday, September 26. The event was a great success, attracting over 80 participants from across the department.

Lieutenant Hakim Soussi, deputy head of the Marignane center, expressed his joy at the turnout: "We have over 80 participants who came from all corners of the department. The level was very high, practically P250 for padel enthusiasts." The final was won by Nicolas and Cyril, both Pompiers13 members from Fos-sur-Mer, after a high-caliber competition at the Box-to-Box complex in Saint-Victoret.
Lieutenant Soussi extended his thanks to the volunteers of Pompiers13 Marignane, the association, the Union, as well as sponsors like Padel-Par4 and Padel Pro Shop, and the French Tennis Federation. "We were able to deliver an event that met expectations," he stated.
"Once again, we had a team worthy of the name, with agents who worked hard to make this happen," added Hakim Soussi. He highlighted the mobilization of firefighters after the summer season: "When you consider the season we've had this summer and we're still able to mobilize for this kind of event right after summer... It's a great source of pride."
He concluded by emphasizing the values of firefighters: "This shows the inherent values of firefighters, with cohesion, solidarity, sport, and all the ingredients we find in our professions." Photos from the tournament are available on Flickr.
