The former La Tulipe soap factory now hosts L’Aérosol Marseille. Inaugurated on September 10, 2026, this venue dedicated to street art, graffiti, and hip-hop integrates urban cultures into the industrial history of the Crottes district. This redevelopment accompanies the sector's transformation driven by Euroméditerranée.
From industrial know-how to artistic creation, La Tulipe changes its purpose while preserving its memory. Its buildings now house a project focused on urban cultures, transmission, and events. The industrial heritage thus becomes the starting point for new uses, as part of a comprehensive urban project for housing rehabilitation, public space requalification, and mobility improvements in this district of Marseille.
This emphasis on culture aligns with a dynamic already initiated by Euroméditerranée, which has previously seen the creation of cultural venues such as the Mucem and the Théâtre de la Joliette. Alongside the Hangar à Sucre and Cazemajou, this momentum continues towards the northern perimeter of the EPA's scope.
The operation and cultural programming of L'Aérosol are entrusted to a private operator, illustrating Euroméditerranée's role as a facilitator. The venue aims to build connections with artists, associations, and residents of Marseille, thereby contributing to the life of the Crottes neighborhood.
The first exhibition, titled Mister Freeze, has already welcomed 15,000 visitors since its opening a month ago and runs until December 20. The inauguration marks a first step, with the venue's establishment growing through events, collaborations, and welcomed audiences.
