From November 7 to 28, Martigues and Port-de-Bouc are celebrating deaf culture through the "En Signe" festival, an event open to all, both deaf and hearing.

The MJC of Martigues, the Théâtre des Salins, the Fernand Léger arts center, the CIAS, and the cultural services of the cities of Martigues and Port de Bouc are joining forces to organize a festival dedicated to deaf culture. This event will take place from November 7 to 28.
The festival is designed to be accessible to everyone, including deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, as well as hearing people, thus fostering mutual exchange and understanding.
This initiative is supported by several institutional partners: the Cities of Martigues and Port-de-Bouc, the Fondation de France, the Regional Council, the DRAC PACA, the Departmental Council 13, and the Metropolis Aix-Marseille-Provence.
The first event in Port de Bouc is scheduled for Friday, November 20, at 6 PM, at the Fernand Léger arts center. It will mark the opening of the exhibition titled "Un entre-deux" (An In-Between). This exhibition will feature the works of Marine Comte, a deaf artist whose works explore perception through art. Entry to this event is free.
The full program is available on the Facebook page Festival En Signe, on the Instagram page @festivalensigne, and via the link: here.
