This recognition allows victims to benefit from natural disaster coverage, provided their property is covered by damage insurance. Affected individuals must report their damages to their insurer as soon as they are known, and no later than 30 days after the decree's publication, which is November 28, 2026. Declarations already made to the insurer do not need to be repeated.
Regarding compensation, the insurer must pay an initial provision within two months of receiving the estimated damage report or the decree's publication. Full compensation should be provided within three months. More favorable terms may be included in individual insurance contracts.
The legal deductible is set at €380 for individuals. For any clarification, the City of Salon-de-Provence encourages residents to contact their insurer. City teams remain mobilized to support victims, and the emergency number 0 805 36 08 55 remains active.
