The Trébon neighborhood was buzzing during the school holidays with the Urban Cultures Festival. Supervised by the youth team from the Social Center, children and teenagers participated in various activities: dance, music, graffiti, sports, and artistic workshops.
The association Tsuvo offered a mobile recording studio, helping young people refine their musical compositions. Others tried their hand at slam poetry with Iraka Music, sewing with Collectif Solide, or contributed to a large, colorful mural on the facade of the Véronique-Angelin Gymnasium, guided by mural artists ABNS and SeeS.
October 21st marked a special day for the young people involved in their neighborhood's life. One year after the successful "Wakamono" youth festival, themed around Japan, they received the "Coup de cœur" (Audience Favorite) Innov' Jeunes Prize. This project had previously secured a €5,000 grant from the Caisse nationale des allocations familiales (Cnaf).
“"Your project was unanimous. The France of tomorrow is here!"
Among the elected officials present were Claire de Causans, Ilham Bouaroua, Martine Grasser, and Adille Chakri. Martine Gournes, deputy mayor for social action, praised "youth who are actors, not just spectators, who bring their neighborhood to life and bring people together."
Amine and about fifteen other young people presented "Côté Nord" T-shirts, named after their neighborhood's geographical location, to their Cnaf guests. They now intend to export this label to other areas in France.
