The City of Trets is working on establishing a municipal health insurance plan, an initiative aimed at facilitating access to supplementary health coverage with negotiated terms and guarantees tailored to residents' needs.

The objective is to offer negotiated supplementary health coverage at a group rate, with adapted guarantees and local support. The town hall has launched a call for applications to select a partner mutual insurance company.
This initiative aims to assist households, particularly seniors, whose supplementary health insurance contributions can strain their budget. It provides additional protection and better anticipation of healthcare expenses at an acceptable cost.
The municipality will rely on three criteria to evaluate offers: the ratio of guarantees to prices (dental, optical, and hearing reimbursements), local support (appointments, personalized advice), and the human and material resources dedicated to the program's implementation and monitoring.
Personalized support will allow residents to understand the proposed guarantees and compare them with their current contracts. The municipality will also guide them towards available aid.
Membership will be voluntary. The municipality will facilitate access to the offer and information, while the partner organization will manage contractual relations and reimbursements.
Practical information, the selected partner, guarantees, and prices will be specified later. A public meeting is scheduled for early 2027 to present the municipal health insurance plan.
