As part of its initiative for a gentle transition, the Town Hall of Chorges has decided to once again temporarily close the Route du Pré de l’Obre to motorized vehicles. This initiative aims to offer a peaceful space for all users.
The closures will take place on Sundays, October 25, November 29, and December 27, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM. The affected section extends from the intersection with Chemin du Pic Epêche to the intersection between Chemin du Pré de l’Obre and Chemin des Réallons.
During these hours, the road will be closed to cars, motorcycles, and tractors, but will remain open to pedestrians, cyclists, scooters, and other forms of soft mobility.
The objective of this initiative is to offer residents and tourists a moment of tranquility and safety on a road that is usually busy. Pedestrians, families on bikes, walkers, and athletes will be able to enjoy this reinvented space in a friendly and environmentally respectful atmosphere.
Through this concrete action, the Town Hall wishes to encourage everyone to reconsider their travel habits and to fully enjoy our living environment and rediscover our surroundings in a new way, for an afternoon, in complete safety.
